The GPA is proud to have been invited by an unusal alliance of kind hosts. A clutural-logistical alliance comprised of transmediale – the landmark festival for media arts in Europe – and different stakeholders from the Tempelhof development process – itself a unique experiment in cultural stratification of ports – has asked the GPA to contribute to the Berlin conversation.
The GPA will sponsor events and an open port information channel (lounge) right at the scenic site of the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, itself a ‘port’ of sorts connecting and circulating world cultures in Berlin.
To be able to evaluate the on-the-ground developments around the unique Tempelhof Airport – itself a site for public use of historic port space – we have built a partnership with Schillerpalais. This pioneer space representing the new cultural flow of Berlin is situated less than 5 minutes away from the Tempelhof Airport. Making it a perfect spot for evaluative expeditions, collective stakeholder consultation, and assessing the new issues facing metropolitan centers in relation to updating their ports.
